Scott brings extensive expertise in strategic and operational planning, organizational structure and transformation, strategic partner engagement, and defense technology development. He served over 30 years as a U.S. Marine Corps Officer, commanding a Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion in both Iraq and Afghanistan and the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center. His vast experience includes a joint service assignment at U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and consecutive Chief of Staff roles at U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific, Marine Corps Combat Development Command / Combat Development and Integration, ultimately concluding his career as Chief of Staff to the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

Scott holds a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute.
