Pallas Advisors is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our growing team of consultants at the intersection of national security and emerging technology. This client-facing role requires exceptional communication skills, strong writing capabilities, and the ability to rapidly learn, synthesize, and articulate complex information.

As an Associate, you will support a diverse portfolio of clients—ranging from startups to established companies—by providing insights on national security issues, technology policy, and market dynamics. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a passion for national security, proven experience in fast-paced environments, and the flexibility to support a dynamic team.

Responsibilities​

  • Serve as primary support for multiple client relationships, ensuring delivery of high-quality materials and responsiveness to evolving priorities.

  • Conduct research and develop written materials (background papers, briefings, presentations) on cross-functional topics relevant to clients.

  • Monitor and analyze defense technology markets and relevant trends.

  • Draft weekly, monthly, and annual client updates summarizing relevant developments and Pallas activities.

  • Plan and execute meetings and events in support of client engagements and internal initiatives.

  • Build and maintain a professional network across the national and international security ecosystem.

  • Contribute to the execution of events for the Pallas Foundation, the firm’s non-profit focused on cultivating future national security leaders.

  • Support additional professional tasks as assigned in alignment with client and firm priorities.

  • Position may require domestic and international travel, as well as occasional evening event attendance.

 

Qualifications​

Required

  • Minimum of six years of relevant professional experience (e.g., government,

  • consulting, technology, policy, communications, military).

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting clear, concise materials for a variety of audiences.

  • Familiarity with the national security landscape and enthusiasm for learning about emerging technologies.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

  • Positive attitude with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail.

  • A willingness to take initiative, learn new topics, and support team-wide efforts—including the small tasks that make organizations successful.

  • A sense of humor.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in international relations, political science, public policy, business, finance, or a related field (additional relevant experience may substitute for a graduate degree).

Work Location​
