Matthew Glavy

Lieutenant General (Ret.) Matthew “Jerry” Glavy previously served as Deputy Commandant for Information, acting as the Marine Corps’ Chief Information Officer and Director of Intelligence. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Glavy is a Marine aviator who commanded at every level, including as the President’s helicopter pilot aboard Marine One and as Commander of the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, responsible for 14,000 personnel and 500 aircraft. Over his 39-year career, Glavy held multiple leadership roles, including Commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command, Deputy Director of Operations for U.S. Cyber Command, and as the inaugural Commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Space Command. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in modernizing cyber warfare, information operations, and digital transformation within the Marine Corps. Glavy received the Navy Distinguished Service Medal for his service.
