Zak has a background in writing and strategy along with prior experience in marketing and strategic communications. He is passionate about the start-up and venture capital ecosystem surrounding the national security sector. 

 

Zak has a B.A. in Middle East Studies and Archaeology from Brown University and an M.A. from ]Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where he pursued a degree in Strategy, Cybersecurity, and Statecraft, with a regional focus on the Middle East.
