Dr. Will Roper is widely viewed as one of the Department of Defense’s most innovative leaders in recent years. Prior to joining Pallas as a part-time consultant, Dr. Roper most recently served as the Service Acquisition Executive for the Air Force and Space Force, managing a portfolio of $60 billion per year. In this role, he spearheaded adoption of commercial technologies and practices in Defense, including the first applications of containerized software, artificial intelligence, digital engineering, and predictive maintenance while also building lasting commercial technology partnerships via initiatives like AFWERX, SpaceWERX, and Pitch Days. Dr. Roper also previously served as the Director of the Strategic Capabilities Office in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and as Chief Futurist at the Missile Defense Agency. Dr. Roper holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
