GENERAL COUNSEL AND SENIOR ADVISOR
Brigadier General (Ret.) Rich Gross was the Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the principal legal advisor for U.S. Central Command, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan and the NATO International Security Assistance Force, and the Joint Special Operations Command. He served over 30 years in the U.S. Army. Rich is on the board of directors for three nonprofit organizations, each of which serves veterans and their families. He is a frequent speaker on the law of armed conflict, military law, and leadership. He earned a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy, a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law; an LL.M from the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School, and a master's in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
